Bethel Pointe Outreach BSU SAACS doesn't just hold meetings. We also provide community outreach programs (like National Chemistry Week at the Children's Museum and Science Day at the Delaware County Fairgrounds)! Newly added to our outreach programs list is the Bethel Pointe outreach. We have been volunteering at the Bethel Pointe Health and Rehab Center, in Muncie, by bringing fun science to the residents there. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, contact our volunteer coordinator!

We provide as many as 40 different booths, in conjunction with the Physics, Genetics, and Microbiology Clubs, the Cardinal Association of Teachers of Science (CATS), and other Ball State affiliated student organizations that demonstrate some of the many aspects of science. Each year follows the National ACS's theme for Chemists Celebrate Earth Day, which was "The Wonders of Water" in 2014.

Demo-off 2/21/2015 Each year, SAACS and SPS (Society of Physics Students) have a demo-off against each other at the Regional Science Fair hosted at Ball State. It's a great event that gives the students (who worked very hard on their science fair projects) a nice break between standing at their posters all morning and receiving awards in the afternoon.
